A rotationally indexed machine-tool has a workpiece carrier (1) which is progressively advanced by a step-by-step drive and may be locked in angular positions which correspond to individual working stations. In the individual working stations are arranged working units (22) which carry each at least one working spindle (38). Workpiece receptacles (10) with planetary axes (11) lying in at least one horizontal place (12) are mounted on the workpiece carrier. The planetary axes extend tangentially at a radial distance from the vertical switching axis (6) of the workpiece carrier and are arranged two by two parallel to each other.
