<p>The present invention discloses a security package (10) for a compact disc (22) having a receiving structure (12) and a retaining plate (14). The receiving structure (12) has a handle (16), a lock section (18), and a storage compartment (20). The storage compartment (20) receives the audio media (22). The audio media (22) is held in place by the retainer plate (14) which is pivotally attached to the lock section (18) of the receiving structure (12). The retainer plate (14) has a flange (64) which covers a portion of the storage compartment (20) holding the media (22) in place. The receiving structure (12) can enclose a detection strip (80) which is then covered by the retainer plate (14).</p> |
