Sewing thread (1) at least section-wise has raised formations (2) or cavities in its surface and is connected to an eyelet (4), which has pawl-type engagement section (5), and which in one direction can be pushed over raised formation and cavities and stopped in opposite direction. Eyelet (4) is integral with the sewing thread (1) and formed at its one end.The raised formations (2) or cavities are only formed on a part of the thread periphery. The raised formations are provided with a flat flank in the sewing direction and steep flank in opposite direction. Cavities are formed as inclined running incisions to thread longitudinal axis.
