Gripper for long timber etc. with pair(s) of gripper arms

An adjusting member (4) is used to displace the gripper arms about the swivel axis, which lies vertically in a plane orthogonal to the timber longitudinal axis. Pref. each gripper arm contains a lever arm (5), swivelable about the swivel axis. They also contain a coupled gripper element (6) parallel to the swivel axis and rod-shaped. One pair of gripper arms may be so shaped that they have a larger spacing at the end coupled to the lever arm.
