The container (1) has a rectangular or drum shape and comprises a lower part and a lid (2) connected to it by a removable adhesive strip (3). A carrying loop (4) connected to both ends of the lower part has a cross-piece (5) at each end. The adhesive strip (3) passes over the ends of the carrying loop (4) but does not cover the cross-piece (5). The carrying loop (4) has an anti-adhesive coating, pref. paraffin oil, wax or silicone oil where it passes underneath the adhesive strip (3).
