<p>Amino acid derivatives of desalaninebenanomicin A, represented by general formula (Ia), are produced by the condensation of various amino acids with the carboxyl group at the 2-position of desalaninebenanomicin A prepared from benanomicin A by chemical conversion. In said formula (Ia), Ra represents hydrogen, C¿1?-C5 alkyl, C1-C5 hydroxylakyl, carboxy or lower alkoxycarbonyl. Among various antifungal derivatives represented by the above formula (Ia), those wherein R?a¿ represents C¿2?-C5 alkyl, C2-C5 hydroxyalkyl, carboxy or lower alkoxycarbonyl are novel semisynthetic antibiotics having an antifungal activity.</p> |
