A process for producing a fluoro(co)polymer by (co)polymerizing a fluoro-olefin which aims at using a substance that can substitute for R-113 or R-114 conventionally used as the solvent, solving the problem of coloration of the formed fluoro(co)polymer caused by the use of the above chlorofluorocarbons, and conducting the reaction safely. The (co)polymerization is conducted in perfluorocyclobutane as the solvent by solution polymerization, suspension polymerization, emulsion polymerization, etc. The addition of perfluorocyclobutane to a self-explosive fluoro-olefin serves to prevent explosion during storage or transportation.
