Locating information on discs

The information content (5) of the disc is read and entered into memory within the playback system. If the capacity of the memory in the playback system is exceeded, the system examines the density of the information on the disc. In the inner region (5) of the disc the information density is reduced relative to the outer region. A modification is made to the data for entry into the title memory of the player.
