<p>The present invention relates to a roof rack bar for motor vehicles. This roof rack bar comprises a bar (1), on each end of which a foot (5) is slidingly mounted, which foot includes a link rod (7) which can be attached on an edge of the roof and has a shoe (9) solidly attached to it, which shoe bears on the roof and is provided with a convex spherical bearing zone (10) which interacts in the manner of a ball joint with a concave spherical bearing zone (11) of the foot (5), in order to take up the forces of the load on the bar (1).
