PURPOSE:To securely preclude misrecognition by inspecting the visual field of an image input device in a state where there is no parts above, and performing an error process and then recognizing the parts when noise in the visual field exceeds a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The image input device 14 is put in operation to inspect its visual field by using lighting from lighting equipment 16 before a mount head 3 which sucks the parts 13 by a suction nozzle 4 comes to a parts recognition position, i.e. while there is not the parts 13 above the image input device 14. If noise larger than the specific value is recognized owing to dirt sticking on a photodetection surface, air is injected from an air nozzle 15 to the photodetection surface to remove the dirt. Thus, the head 3 reaches the parts recognition position and stops and is positioned concentrically above the device 14 after the error process is completed or without any error process when the noise is below the specific value. Then the head is lowered to the parts recognition position and an excellent image with good contrast is picked up to detect whether or not the position of the parts 13 is proper or not. |
