PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material which is scarcely colored by unnecessary heat during production process, by forming a film of an electron beam setting coating agent containing a thermal color forming agent entirely or at an arbitrary portion on the surface of a supporting material. CONSTITUTION:An electron beam setting coating agent for paint or print ink where a thermal color forming, agent is scattered by means of a three-roll mill or a ball mill into a binder containing at least one kind of electron beam polymerizable monomers, oligomers or prepolymers and employing a resin having no electron beam polymerizability if required is applied in film by means of a coater or a printer onto a supporting material, then an electron beam is irradiated to dry said film thus producing a thermal recording material. (Meth)acrylate of polyhydric alcohol such as ethylene glycol di(meth)acrylate, propylene glycol(meth)acrylate; monomer or olygomer of urethane modified polyacrylate having a (meth)acryloyl group is employed as the electron beam polymerizable monomer, olygomer or preopolymer. |
