<p>PURPOSE:To discriminate a specific image on a bill or the like inexpensively and reliably by recording a discrimination mark composed of regions of a higher reflectance and a lower reflectance than the reflectance of a medium at the same near infrared wavelength. CONSTITUTION:Regions of a higher reflectance than the reflectance of a medium, which are used for recording a discrimination mark on which invisible information for recognizing a bill or the like and prohibiting duplication is recorded, are recorded in such a manner that a prescribed pattern of a material prepared by dissolving or dispersing in a binder a fluorescence dyestuff-pigment having a fluorescence wavelength in a near infrared area is formed on a copy prohibiting original by printing or the like. When readings 103, 104 and 105 different in the direction of operation are executed, for instance, IR signal intensities are as shown in Figs. respectively. Since the part of low reflectance, the part of reflectance of the medium and 6 part of high reflectance are detected, an improvement of a recognition rate is enabled by using the detection together with determination.</p> |
