MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic recording medium having a hiding layer being excellent in hiding properties for and an adhesion to a magnetic layer and a magnetic bar code. CONSTITUTION:A silver layer 20 is formed on a magnetic bar 16 by screen printing or coating, using silver ink containing aluminum powder which is pulverized in a prescribed particle size and subjected to a surface treatment for improving the adhesion to resin. The siliver layer 20 is excellent in hiding properties for the magnetic bar 16 and the adhesion to a base 12. Since a curing agent is not used for the silver ink, besides, the ink is excellent in the stability with time and also dispersibility, and the silver layer 20 is excellent also in the stability of its color.
