PURPOSE:To provide an oil pressure control device for a belt type continuous transmission for a vehicle, which can prevent shortage of the transmission belt pinching force despite failure in the hydraulic circuit system. CONSTITUTION:In the region with insufficient tension of a transmission belt 76 which is sensed by a tension shortage region sensing means 520, a slip preventive means 522 turns on the fourth solenoid valve 158 and heightens the tension control pressure Pbelt a certain value higher so that slippage of the transmission belt 76 is eliminated. Thereby the lacking condition of the pinching force for the transmission belt 76 can be eliminated in good performance despite failure in the hydraulic circuit system incl. a pressure regulator valve 224 to regulate the tension control pressure Pbelt, for example sticking of a spool valve element 262 of the regulator valve 224, fastening of spool valve element 246 of the fifth solenoid valve (linear valve) 160, fastening of spool valve element 234 of a throttle valve opening sensing valve 220, and fastening of the spool valve element 242 of a valve pressure regulating valve 222. |
