PURPOSE:To obtain uniform polyimide resin pellets having no voids while preventing the thermal deterioration of the pellets. CONSTITUTION:In a method for processing a polyimide resin into pellets, melt extrusion is performed under such a condition that the moisture content of a raw material is set to 0.02% or less and the oxygen content thereof is set to 0.3% or less and the interior of a hopper and that of an extruder are held to an inert gas atmosphere and, further, the emitted molten strand of the polyimide resin is cooled by an air blower and further brought into contact with the surface of a metal held to 0-90 deg.C and the cooled strand is cut to obtain uniform pellets free from voids prevented from thermal deterioration. |
