NEW MICROBE HAVING HYDROCABON-DEGRADABILITY AND METHOD FOR TREATING POLLUTED OCEAN

摘要

PURPOSE:To decontaminate the ocean by treating the ocean polluted with hydrocarbons with a specific microbe to biodegrade the hydrocarbons, esp. resin components, hard-to-biodegrade components. CONSTITUTION:The ocean contaminated with hydrocarbons is treated with a Pseudomonas microbe having biodegradability for the hydrocarbons in resins as the sole carbon source [e.g. Pseudomonas sp. UN-3 strain (FERM P-13268)].
