METHOD FOR CONNECTING ENDS OF WEATHER STRIP

PURPOSE:To ensure improvement of efficiency in molding and manufacturing works of a connecting part of two ends and prevent degradation of sealing performance of the connecting part. CONSTITUTION:Two ends 18 and 19 of a weather strip 11 consisting of a welt 12 and hollow sealed parts 13 will be connected by die forming. Facing edges 13a and 13b of the hollow sealed parts 13 of the ends 18 and 19 are crushed by a mold. Between the two ends 18 and 19, a rubber material is injected so as to mold a connecting part 20 and connect the ends. A sealing position 22 of the connecting part 20 is shaped into the same form as a seal lip 15.
