PURPOSE:To obtain the subject resin excellent in environmental pollution resistance and useful for foams, etc., without breaking the ozonosphere by reacting a specific active hydrogen compound with a polyisocyanate compound in the presence of a specified foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:An active hydrogen compound such as a polyether polyol having two or more active hydrogen-containing function group reactive with isocyanate groups is reacted with a polyisocyanate compound such as tolylene diisocyanate in the presence of a low boiling point hydrofluorocarbon represented by C4F6H4 or C4F7H3 and having a CHF2 in the molecular structure preferably in an amount of 20-60wt.% (based on the active hydrogen compound) to give the objective compound.
