PURPOSE: To provide a ring lock connector ensuring installation and removal. CONSTITUTION: This connector can be inserted into a hole provided in a base, so that it is securely mounted therein while enabling removal and secure reinstallation. The base 14 has a hole with an undercut groove 30 and a mount portion 24 has a recess 42 for holding a snap ring 26. The snap ring is provided with a gap to enable the snap ring to be connected to the base during insertion, the gap expanding in the groove in the base so as to be locked therein. An elastomeric spring ring 50 is disposed between the bottom of the recess in the mount and the radially inner surface of the snap ring, to prevent the snap ring from falling off. The spring ring is lightly compressed during installation. |
