摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a hydraulic control device for an automatic transmission for car which is free from risk of the car running being hindered even in case any failure is generated in change-over motions of the first selector valve or the second selector valve. CONSTITUTION:When a C2 control valve 410 is in the changeover position (Off) in which a hydraulic actuator 106 for high speed shift position is left open, the actuator 106 is put in communication with the third port 370 in which the reverse motion range pressure PR of a manual valve 310 is generated. Therefore, the reverse motion range pressure P generated by the manual valve 310 in response to the operation of a shift lever is supplied to the actuator 106 to cause engagement of the high speed gearing even though the C2 control valve 410 is fixed on the open side at the time of reverse run, so that the reverse motion gearing to be engaged through the high speed position is put in engagement, and it is possible for the car to make reverse run.
