PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for controlling ripening of Korean pickles capable of ripening Korean pickles and preserving them in optimum state while utilizing a gas sensor. CONSTITUTION: This device is composed of a container for storing Korean pickles, a ripening acceleration part for accelerating the ripening of Korean pickles, a ripening delay part for delaying the ripening of Korean pickles in the container, a sensor part for sensing the change amount of gas generated from the Korean pickles in the container, a microcomputer for generating a control signal corresponding to the change amount of gas sensed from the sensor part, and a switching part for selectively intermitting a supply power source to the ripening acceleration part or the ripening delay part based on the control signal. Since the gas generated at the ripening time of Korean pickles is detected by the gas sensor and the ripening of Korean pickles is accelerated and delayed while discriminating the ripening degree of Korean pickles, the Korean pickles can be exactly ripened as desired by a user. |
