RECORDING METHOD OF DISPLAY MEDIUM HAVING REVERSIBLE THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration due to the repetition of writing and erasing by increasing and decreasing the applied amt. of heat of writing and/or erasure corresponding to the temp. of a reversible thermal recording material before writing and/or erasure. CONSTITUTION:A display medium having a reversible thermal recording material capable of writing and erasing data by heating using a thermal head or a laser heating device is subjected to recording. In this case, the applied amt. of heat of writing and/or erasure is increased and decreased corresponding to the temp. of the reversible thermal recording material before writing and/or erasure. The temp. of the reversible thermal recording material is known in order to increase and decrease the applied amt. of heat by a method directly measuring the temp. of the reversible thermal recording material or a method estimating the temp. of the reversible thermal recording material from the timewise interval from erasure to writing or environmental temp. As a concrete example of the reversible thermal recording material, there is one wherein a thermal layer wherein an org. monomeric substance is dispersed in a resin matrix is provided on a support.
