PURPOSE:To adjust the tension of a belt without interference with cowling by providing a tensioner for applying tension to a belt, and providing an adjusting bolt for stopping the end part thereof on the cowling side, screw- engaging the other end thereof to the tensioner and advancing and retreating the tensioner to the belt to adjust the tension of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A tensioner 50 for adjusting the tension of a belt is brought into contact with the belt 48 from the outside, and fixed to a cylinder body of an engine main body in such a manner as to advance and retreat with respect to the belt 48. When it is necessary to adjust the tension of the belt 48, when the cowling side end part 67 of an adjusting bolt 66 is turned in a designated direction, a nut 72 is advanced and retreated in the axial direction while the end part 67 keeps its initial position. The nut 72 is fixed to a pulley bracket 62, and a spindle 63 of a pulley 64 is also fixed, so that the spindle 63 is turned on the bolt 58 to increase and decrease tension of the belt 48. Thus, the tension of the belt can be adjusted without interference with cowling. |
