PURPOSE:To maintain lubricating qualities between a cylinder and a piston and to prevent wear of sliding face by dissolving a water-soluble polymer such as alginate in water and pressurizing a material to be pressurized through a pressure medium having lubricating qualities higher than those of water. CONSTITUTION:A material 4 to be pressurized is pressurized through a pressure medium 3 prepared by dissolving >=0.05wt. of a water-soluble polymer such as carboxymethyl cellulose, dextrose, hemicellulose, arabinoxylan, pectin, glycomannan, agar, carrageenan, gum arabic, tragacanth gum, gutty gum and karaya gum in water. A lubricant such as vaseline is not required and flaws between a cylinder 1 and a piston 2 can be prevented. |
