<p>PURPOSE:To accurately judge a particulate amount in heating and burning the particulate, restrain the particulate from high temperature burning and gurantee the maintenance of catching performance of filter by constituting for detecting a particulate amount caught by the filter independently from a temperature of the filter. CONSTITUTION:A filter reprocessing apparatus comprises a filter 16 for catching particulates, a heating space 15 for receiving the filter 16 and producing a TE mode in the direction of exhaust gas flow of the filter 16, a microwave detecting means 29 for detecting a microwave amount in a space having a heat insulating material 33 disposed therein on the outer periphery of the filter 16 and a control section 30 for controlling the microwave generating means 29 and respective valves 23, 26 and 27 by a microwave detecting signal. While the particulate amount caught by the filter is accurately judged b extracting a change in the microwave characteristics in the filter, the caught particulates in a desired amount are heated and burnt removably, so that high temperature burning in the filter is avoided and the filter is prevented from the mechanical breakdown to maintain the durability and reliability of the apparatus.</p> |
