Process for the preparation of cross-linked hydrocarbon- polymer complexes. The process basically comprises the preparation, in a first stage, of a polymer concentrate in which the polymer, a randomly polymerized butadiene-styrene, is dissolved and preactivated in a solvent which remains in the final product in its application as a binder in asphaltic aggregates. In a second stage this polymer concentrate is caused to react with an asphaltenes concentrate in the presence of an appropriate cross linking system such as those used in the rubber vulcanization industry, at a temperature of between 120 degree C and 190 degree C, with stirring.
