Gearshift lever (1) for use in a motor vehicle, comprising a lower part (3) which is mounted in the body of the motor vehicle by means of a ball and socket joint (2) and is surrounded by a rubber body (4) in the form of a sleeve and comprising an upper part (5) which is of bell-shaped design, is placed over the rubber body (4) and is connected to the rubber body (4).
