<p>Auxiliary equipment for stereotaxic surgery comprising a device for three-dimensional graphic reconstruction of the area where surgery will take place, a support for immobilising the patient in position for surgery, the robot-controlled arm having six degrees of freedom at one end thereof which forms an integral part of the aforesaid support, the said robot-controlled arm having at a free end thereof a mechanical interface which supports equipment for surgical use, means being provided for control of the movement of the robot-controlled arm which comprise further electromechanical means for the determination and corresponding transformation into data of the position and spatial orientation of the said mechanical interface and means for transfer of the data obtained from the said electromechanical means and their graphic reproduction on the said graphic reconstruction device. The graphic reconstruction device is an image system associated with equipment for computerised axial tomography, or magnetic resonance. The surgeon has an accurate map of the part of the body on which he is working, for example by means of a video. <IMAGE></p> |
