Coating internal surfaces of multi-tubular glass vessels

The internal surfaces of multi-tubular glass vessels are uniformly coated by rotating the vessel simultaneously about a central axis (13) and through an angle (alpha) about a horizontal axis (24) which is perpendicular to the first axis (13). The rate of movement over the angle (alpha) is governed by the relationship (I) with alpha(t) = O where the axis (13) is in the horizontal plane (25) and the starting conditions are given by t = O when O is less than phi is less than R. n is half the number of tubes in the assembly and R is the number of rotations about axis (13) per unit time.
