Prevention of birth defects and childhood cancer

Birth defects such as cleft lip or palate, congenital deafness, middle ear infections, childhood cancers, osteosarcoma, and leukemia are prevented by administration of a mineral fluorine source e.g. NaF, bone meal to pregnant females.
