Wheel cover in which the covering disc (5) so covers the side wall (3) of the tyre (2) that a hollow space is created between the covering disc and the tyre side wall. An elastic seal (10) is positioned between the outer edge (9) of the covering disc and the shoulder region of the tyre.The covering disc extends outwardly and upwardly from the rim region (7) to the shoulder of the tyre. The seal is a highly elastic lip seal attached to the covering disc.
