Vehicle window pane

A glass pane, for a vehicle has a polymer profile frame and the adhesive is composed of materials giving no adhesive bonding action. The bond between the polymer profile and the hardened adhesive is through a mechanical shape fit. Also claimed is a glass vehicle pane mfg. process where the injection moulded frame-type polymer profile is shaped in a multi-part mould. The core forming the hollow zone of the U-shaped section is movable within the mould. On clearing the mould, the core is removed when the mould sections are released against the outer surfaces of the U-shaped section.Pref. the hollow zone of the U-shaped section of the polymer profile has a pine tree shape cross section. The polymer profile has an extending lip round the circumference of the glass pane. The polymer profile is of a thermoplastic elastomer, and the adhesive is a reaction system, using an isotactic polypropylene and ethylene propylene diene rubber, with an adhesive of a moisture hardening single components polyurethane system.
