The reclamation process receives material in refuse containers that are identified by coded labels. The main collection unit is divided into different sections which each receive specific types of materials. The collection unit has sensing units to determine the type of material and to initiate commands for emptying into the appropriate section. Sensors systems are provided for paper, glass, plastics, etc..
