The binding appts. (1), to secure leaves into a binding where they have fusible adhesive strips at the back, has a heating plate (3) with a gas heater. Pref. the gas heater has at least one combustion chamber (8) and ignition (22), with a connection (14) for a gas fuel container (17). A catalyst (8) in the combustion chamber gives a non-flame combustion of the gas fuel, with fibres (10) with a catalytic coating, or a grid with a catalyst coating. The ignition (22) is a piezo electric unit to generate an ignition spark, through battery power.
