An electrode structure for a bipolar accumulator battery or for an accumulator for arranging active material comprises a conductive electrode plate (5), consisting at least in part of a mixture of a polymer which is electrochemically inert and very largely resistant to the electrolytes, as a matrix, and a conductive filler which is electrochemically inert and very largely resistant to the electrolytes. The conductive electrode plate (5) on its outer periphery has a non-conductive rim section (3) which consists of a further polymer which is electrochemically inert and very largely resistant to the electrolytes. The melt phase (liquid phase) of the further polymer in this arrangement is very largely miscible with the melt phase of the polymer which is mixed with the conductive filler.
