A method for admixing a solvent-borne compsn. contg. a high concn. of at least one solid polymer capable of being sprayed as a liq. soln. and at least one compressed fluid as a viscosity reducing diluent which is a ga at STP comprises admixing the solvent-borne compsn. and the compressed fluid together at a pressure P, the compressed fluid has a feed temp., T1, such that at least one compressed fluid is a gas or supercritical fluid and has a solubility parameter of 0.5-4 (cal/cc)1/2, thereby avoiding undesirable pptn. of the solid polymer and consequential plugging of the apparatus.
