AIRTIGHT LID WITH FLIP TOP FEATURE

In the closable lid assembly comprising two elements (10, 40) joined together by means of a hinge (30), provision is made for the first element or lid (10) to have a cavity (20) designed to receive the peripheral relief (50) of the second element (40), in the form of a small frame, which has a flat flange (44) designed to delimit the opening (45) of the packaging onto which the assembly is applied. Either or both the flanks of the peripheral relief (50) has or have corrugations (52) which cooperate with a vertical wall of the channel provided in the movable lid element, such corrugations forming an airtight seal between the two elements of the assembly. In order to improve further the airtightness of the closure, a gasket (24) is also provided on the bottom of the cavity (20) and comes into abutment against the relief (5) of the small frame (40).
