NOZZLE PLATE IN INK JET RECORDER AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-accuracy nozzle using an inexpensive resin material and provide a method for producing a highly reliable nozzle having stable jetting characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle plate 2 is bonded to end faces of ink pressurizing chambers of a flow path plate 1 and provided with nozzles 3 for delivering ink pressurized in the ink pressurizing chambers 5. The nozzle plate 2 is made of a resin material. The nozzle plate 2 is irradiated with a UV laser beam to be perforated with the nozzles 3. Ink is fed into the nozzle 3 from the UV beam-irradiated side and delivered out of the rear side. The nozzle 3 is so tapered that a pore dimension on an ink feed-in side is 1.1-3.0 times larger than that on an ink delivery side.
