PURPOSE:To provide a graph for expressing a center line image which eliminates shape distortion in a center line with a width by one picture element. CONSTITUTION:In a line thinning method for transforming a binary image to the center line image with the width by one picture element, a node is placed at the picture element of a value '1' of the binary image, the image is transformed 1 to the graph for connecting the adjacent nodes with sides, the excess node and the side connected to this node are excluded 2 from this provided graph, this processing is repeated until the nodes and sides to be deleted are eliminated, the excess side is deleted 3 from the graph provided by this processing, and this processing is repeated until the sides to be deleted are eliminated. |
