PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC THIN FILM

PURPOSE:To easily produce the org. thin film having a fine pattern shape by segmenting and forming a hydrophobic region and hydrophilic region on a base surface and selectively laminating and forming the org. thin film by a gaseous phase method on either one side of these regions. CONSTITUTION:The region 20 reformed by a prescribed surface reforming treatment and an adjacent region not reformed are formed on the surface part of a clad material 2, by which the surface part is segmented to the hydrophobic region and the hydrophilic region. A core material 5 for forming the org. thin film is then selectively laminated and formed on the surface reformed region 20 on the surface of the clad material 2, by which the org. thin film is produced. A material having affinity to the surface reformed region 20 on the surface of the clad material 2 of the org. thin film laminated and formed in such a manner is laminated and formed on this region if the above-mentioned region is hydrophobic and the material having affinity to the region 20 is laminated and formed if this region is hydrophilic. As a result, the etching stage for the core material in the conventional stages is eliminated.
