PURPOSE:To enable high-speed color resolution processing at low cost and to exactly judge achromatic colors as well. CONSTITUTION:A color resolving circuit 3 is used for a color area measuring instrument 1 to measure a color area while receiving a chrominance signal from a color camera 2. In this color resolving circuit 3, sub chrominance signal generation parts 22-24 generate sub chrominance signals by adding prescribed voltages to the chrominance signal from the color camera 2. Then, comparators 12-18 compare the level of the chrominance signal with those of sub chrominance signals in colors different from that of the chrominance signal, a color judge logic IC 11 judges coloring and when the level of any chrominance signal is lower than those of sub chrominance signals in colors different from that of the chrominance signal, achromatic colors are judged. |
