PURPOSE:To provide the image forming device capable of stably forming particularly intermediate contrast parts important with a digital image forming device of multi gradations among the image density fluctuations based on the sensitivity fluctuation of a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:This image forming means has a control means for calculating the control potential VGS of an electrostatic charging means 402 for electrostatically charging the photoreepter 401 with a target dark potential VHS, calculating the light quantity VLS of a light beam to obtain a target intermediate contrast potential VMS in accordance with the detected potential of the latent image patch on the photosecepter 401 electrostatically charged with the control potential VGS and the exposure light quantity of the latent image patch, calculating a development bias potential VB by subtracting a fogging preventive potential VC from the target dark potential VHS and setting an electrostatic charge control potential VGS, the light quantity LDS of the light beam and the development bias potential VB. |
