SMART BUS CONTROL UNIT

PURPOSE: To provide a new improved smart bus control unit which can realize an input-output control function. CONSTITUTION: A smart bus control unit is used in connection with the relation between two data processing systems. The first data processing system 107 uses a microchannel architecture and a microchannel bus. One or a plurality of microchannel input-output adapters 128 are connected to the microchannel bus so as to connect input-output devices 130-132 to the microchannel bus. The second data processing system 101 contains a bus having an architecture which is incompatible with that of the microchannel system.
