<p>PURPOSE:To provide a golf club head superior in the flying distance, directional stability, durability and design, etc., compared with a conventional golf club head by making the P-containing quantity in the Ni-P plating layer on the surface of the club head base material to be 0.1-20wt.%. CONSTITUTION:As a golf club head base material, Al or Al alloy, carbonic material, titanium or titanium alloy is used. Then, on the ball hitting surface of the base material, an electric Ni-P plating is performed and the P-containing quantity in the Ni-P plating layer is made to be 0.1-20wt.%. The electric Ni-P plating layer is superior in corrosion resistance, is hard and reacts to improve the wear resistance, and the adhesion to a base which can display these effects is good, and therefore, the durability of the club head is improved by this Ni-P plating layer. Also, the Ni-P plating layer has a luster and presents a good appearance, and the design property is improved. in addition, by experiments, it has been found that the flying distance and directional stability are improved.</p> |
