<p>PURPOSE:To accurately measure an occluded hydrogen amount of a specimen electrode comprising palladium without limiting the region of the measurement. CONSTITUTION:The electrolytic tank 1 for occluding hydrogen is characterized by comprising an outer cylinder 11, an inner cylinder 12 coaxially inserted and arranged in the outer cylinder 11, an electrolytic liquid 13 containing heavy water filled in a state capable of being communicated with the outer cylinder 11, an oscilloscope 32 and the inner cylinder 12, a palladium specimen electrode 14, a counter electrode 15 wound on the outside wall of the inner cylinder 12, and a constant electric current source 16 for supplying a constant direct electric current between the specimen electrode 14 and the counter electrode 15. The device for measuring the amount of the occluded hydrogen is characterized by adding a flow amount-measuring device 2 comprising a mass production meter 20 for measuring the flow amount of hydrogen gas supplied into a supply tube 21 communicated with the inner cylinder 12 by the utilization of the difference between the temperatures of heat-generating resistors, and a computer device 3 comprising a microcomputer for computing the amount and occlusion ratio of the occluded hydrogen gas on the basis of the output of the flow amount- measuring device 2 and for computing the over-voltage of the hydrogen from the change of voltage on the electrolysis in the steady state.</p> |
