PURPOSE: To provide a collision avoidance device for aircraft, notably for collisions with the ground. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a means 31 for determining the geographical location of the aircraft, a data base 32 contg. a description of safety altitudes, a means 33 for setting an air floor about the vertical of the aircraft, the floor altitude being not less than a safety altitude about the vertical of the aircraft, a means 34 for predicting the air position of the aircraft, a means 35 for comparing this position with the air floor and for sounding an alarm 36 when the aircraft passes beneath the floor. It is applied for facilities of a regular passenger aircraft. |
