PURPOSE:To prevent a vicious act to obtain illegal service by altering information encoded on a card by changing the use limit amount of money by, electronically processing a telephone card used for public telephone or processing automatic service equipment operating with the card. CONSTITUTION:A discrimination code is encoded on the card and it is decided whether or not the card is used according to effect data by discrimination codes stored in a main computer through a terminal incorporated in the automatic service equipment. Then the main computer decides whether or not the card can be used, so the processing of the card and terminal becomes meaningless to prevent an illegal act, and the main computer can gather and control information data on individual cards. |
