CAMERA AUTOMATIC FOCUSING CONTROLLING SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE: To automatically focus a camera even in the case of a video scene including a high-luminance object by concealing the highluminance object not to have an effect on an evaluation function at the time of detecting the high- luminance object. CONSTITUTION: An automatic focus control circuit 36 detects a standard object in a video frame. An automatic focusing processing means 38 focuses the camera while concealing a high-luminance object from the video frame. If the standard object is not detected, the processing means 38 focuses the camera without concealing the high-luminance object from the video frame. The processing means 38 minimizes a count function indicating the number of pixels (picture elements) having luminance values higher than a reference threshold, thereby focusing the camera on the high-luminance object.
