AMBIGUOUS KANJI CONVERTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide the ambiguous KANJI (Chinese character) converting device for a Chinese word processor which effectively performs an ambiguous converting process for a KANJI string with similar character tone. CONSTITUTION:The Chinese word processor has an ambiguousness dictionary 13 containing character sound symbol strings by ambiguous character sound symbols or character sound symbol strings having character sound symbols to possible become ambiguous character sound symbols, an ambiguous range specification part 14 which specifies ambiguous positions and the number of characters that can be detected, an ambiguous information detection part 15 which detects corresponding character sound symbol strings in the ambiguous dictionary 13 by character tone symbol strings corresponding to positions specified by the ambiguous range specification part 14, a conversion control part 16 which sends all character sound symbol string detected by the ambiguous information detection part 15 to a conversion part 12 and converts them into KANJi corresponding to them or a KANJI string of characters whose quantity is within the detactable range, and a selection part 17 which selects a KANJI string that the input person intends among the string converted through the operation of the conversion control part 16.
