Colour formers of the general formula <IMAGE> wherein the mutually independent meanings for the symbols are for R<1> and R<2>: hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, aralkyl and others, Y<1> and Y<2>: alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl, X<1>: alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl and others, X<2>: H, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl and others, X<1> with X<2>: with inclusion of the nitrogen atom to which they are attached can form a saturated or unsaturated 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring, and the rings A, B and C may be fused with further isocyclic or heterocyclic rings, show on incorporation into recording materials based on acidic developers particularly advantageous migration characteristics. Deep blue, cyan, green, violet or red colours are obtained with excellent sublimation and light fastness. |
